Having some troubles

Lately I’ve been lacking on the hygiene department and lacking motivation too, as well as experiencing apathy, and not to mention not wanting to socialize with friends like I used to.
I haven’t wanted to shave in over 2 months, which is unlike me, and I’ve been slacking on dental hygiene, as well as bathing.
I don’t feel overly concerned as I think I should be about it…I think I’m not on strong enough meds to conquer these issues.
Should I just attempt to force myself to do these things and hope that helps?

I struggle with these issues, apathy in particular. It’s not easy, but it helps to have a routine that requires you to take care of these things. Maybe bear in mind that these issues can cause problems if you don’t attend to them, like body odor could become worse, developing bad breath, etc… Don’t want you to worry, but these things can get worse if you don’t attend to them everyday.

I feel your pain. Have you talked with your doctor about this? Your teeth/gums need daily care. This is serious.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll see if I can make myself attend to a routine and hope that helps me out even just a bit.

I have yet to talk with my pdoc about it, the dental hygiene is a bit more recent compared to my other issues. I’ll mention them in my next appointment on the 15th.
Thanks for your concerns though.

Maybe try to set alarms/dates for the things you need to do. And if you do all the tasks for that day you treat yourself to something? It might help you associate doing those things with something good.

That’s not a bad idea, especially treating myself for doing them. Just hope I can get the motivation to do these things!

Self-discipline seems impossible at times. I didn’t mean to preach, especially given that I can hardly manage to motivate myself to do these things sometimes.
