Baby steps you know.
I have to get a job at this point. I realized I can’t maintain happiness without an occupation of some kind… I need money. I’m at a meat 2,500 in debt that I could obliterate within a few months.
I’d also be able to go get the holy-grails of pleasure in my neighborhood the mexican mocha… just a mocha with cinnamon instead of chocolate. Lucky me found a coffee joint that is open until 1am 7 days a week… that’s enough of a service to me to sell out to making them my mainstay coffee joint.
Hello another considerably indispensable job in the fast food industry… this time up “Bionic Burgers.” Goodbye to ever empowering those latent intentions for veganism… hello steakburgers…
I think you really out to start small… this may sound like a shallow critique but a cute girl like you could probably swing a job in a lot of places. Why don’t you start by finding places that your most comfortable being a customer to… Environment is half the battle… it changes people and has a tendency to really lay out different groundworks of respect… just something to consider.
I really prefer clean and well thought out industrial kitchens… never see them anywhere… but that bakery felt like a place I could convert into a science lab and that entertained me on many days. Also installing suspended bounding lanes from the ceiling so I could jaunt out of there without risk knocking someone over.
I found the worn-in employer of a grocery store vibe pretty endearing… circa 1950s life lol… not so much for me… but the elderlies had their charm and simplicity to them… real modest and a good break from the youths… one of those pricks called me an elitist at one point… just cause I didn’t want to take on the pressure of speaking to everyone.
Or more simply… perhaps working on being more comfortable in public can help you see how you might be able to handle a 5 to 6 hour part time shift somewhere… keep in mind as soon as your off the clock oyu can cope with your life how you choose… pretty much everyone does something as soon as they can to compensate for having had to work… it’s a healthy way to add value to free time.
I think you should just relax though… if you’re inclined to look at all the problems ahead of you all at once make sure you’re breaking them down bite-sized and putting them in line under some order of operation.
Oh and don’t take the rejection of having your application over-looked personally… get used to filling them out so that it comes easier every time. If you’re in some place asking for an application it can seal the deal from the get go to ask if their hiring manager is on staff and establish a name to name or face to face basis… If you demonstrate good persona and respect… while not seeming self-entitled… you’ll stand out in their mind.
Some folk just aren’t going to like you straight up nothing can be done about it and there is no reason… also some managers don’t like people who try that face to face thing… but those folk are probably strict and loathing of life…
I haven’t got a job down here yet, but I’ve really failed to give it enough concern…
It’s a piece of paper that might take as little as 15 minutes to fill out… that’s a pretty small investment for a chance to work…
You could also apply to 7 places at the same time… and know you are just doing it to gauge your ability to fill out the apps or the guesswork of who will higher you… pressure is off because when they call you you can just lie and say “I’m sorry I’ve already got something else sorted out. Thank you for your consideration… I’ll consider reapplying in the future.” Turn the rejection card around on them lol… just have fun with it… that’s not illegal and if you’re in a big enough town it won’t impact the chance of you finding a job in the long run.
There are ways to overcome the blockage you feel… beyond that you are still very young… everything @rogueone said is spot on the money.
