I’ve been struggling with the side effects of my meds and today the voices have been fighting back and don’t want me to take them. I had a breakdown on my zoom for one of my classes and don’t know if I will be able to continue with college anymore. I called my psychiatrist and she’s decided to up my meds today instead of Thursday.
I hope the med increase helps you
That is too bad. I hope you feel better soon.
Did something trigger your meltdown? Like the subject matter of the course?
If at first you don’t succeed…
I think it was just being so overwhelmed with the voices I haven’t been on medication for a while because my psychiatrist didn’t want to put me back on them with my age. I have become very good at hiding what’s going on in my head that with starting meds again and being so exhausted I can’t control it anymore and they where asking me questions about myself and I couldn’t cope.
I hope to hell the meds get it under control for you, my friend
I really hope so too
feel much better quickly slothlover. judy
I loved that movie as a child.
Hope things get better soon!
I hope this passes and your day gets better.
Hopefully it works. Maybe you just need a break until your meds are right.
I hope you’re feeling better! Wishing you the best.
Sorry to hear that, good thing that your pdoc decided to up your dose sooner than later though. That’s a smart move
i hope the upping of the meds will help you.
I wish you best of luck
@Slothlover you need to be honest about the voices and things that are bothering you with your P’Doc. She / he can help you find ways to cope with it and to clam them down. If your not honest when asking for help you wont always get the help you need and require to continue your daily routine / life…
This is a struggle even for me.
I try to be honest with her about how much I’m struggling but she doesn’t seem to listen. She doesn’t seem to be that experienced with schizophrenia she never knows what to do with me.
She should listen to your needs and empathise with you. There are some terrible pdocs out there
