Two joints of high THC is a good amount

i would rather take stimulants like Adderall than thc, at least it improves negative and cognition symptoms without causing catatonia and memory problems

It’s not like your friends are going to force you to smoke.

Why cut off your friends over weed?

Just politely pass.

I use cannabis everyday and it helps me a lot with my symptoms and motivation.

But if you feel it’s a problem,

Cut it out.

But it’s not like you’re a junkie that needs to move 5 cities over to loose your connections.

It’s weed.

Just pass.

I smoked a lot of weed when i was a pup. I think it contributed to me becoming psychotic and eventually getting sza. These days if i have one puff of a joint i go insane and crawl into the foetal postition until it wares off. Its the worst feeling ever being stoned for me as an adult. Absolutely no control over my mind. But generally im completely free from postivie symptoms and am pretty normal if i dont smoke pot.

I had where my Arms would get stuck in 1 position or legs. I think it was more psychological tho like in my head im thinking oh crap i cant move so i wouldnt be able to move lol. Id also lose feeling of my body and I would just feel like i was just a head.

It didnt play well with my brain thats for sure. Its kinda funny and also sad cuz i wanted it to be a good experience to ‘fit in’ with the people that liked it but it was far from it for me.

Weed was easy to give up. Wish it was easier for me than alcohol or cigs. I have friends who are weed fiends and they smoke around me but I’m sz and it doesn’t agree with me even though weed helped me years ago…it eventually didn’t as I developed sz.

If it’s holding you back just give it up. It’s all about function anyways on these meds and it seems weed doesn’t work for a lot of our community. Yeah. There’s always the odd one out but for most it’s a problematic thing.

Honestly. I don’t miss it but I don’t miss the addiction of nicotine either. Took me a long time to learn that.

I smoked a few times when I was in my 20’s, but I didn’t like it. Affected me negatively mentally. I will never smoke again.

I would leave your friends if there is peer pressure to smoke.

I find hashish really mild now when I’ve smoked it more recently

Yeah but thc triggers psychosis.

As long as you take your APs especially olanzapine as normal you can get away with it

Yeah, but I want to reduce my meds. Eventually quit them. Cannot smoke hash if I’m going to do that.

I suppose that’s quite sensible of you @dreamer54

My father who was an alcoholic said keep away from weed and stronger things and so I did.
But my father didn’t warn me against his bad habit of drinking beers every day or smoking cigarettes.
So from a very young age I drank many days each week and I finally became a chain smoker and alcoholic, I got finally out of the bad alcohol habit at age 34’years but has to this day kept my bad cigarette smoking habit.
I cannot say anything about drugs as I’ve never tried them but just want to warn my fellow sufferers against using alcohol while on antipsychotics.
DONT use alcohol while in treatment cause the won’t make you better only worse and very depressed.
