Do you mean people from the forum meeting up? I think that rule is mostly for protecting the sites members anonymity and not being harassed and whatnot. I personally don’t see a problem with people that have known each other for years on this forum meeting up if they really want to.

I don’t mind meeting up with people anymore, but I have to have a lot of time to myself too.

If you specifically meant sz people on the forum, prolly bc we tend to be paranoid.

I’ve met a lot of people online irl too tho. It doesn’t bother me.

I use to meetup with people I met on IRC back around the year 2000

The fact is anyone could at anytime pm an individual with their contact information, despite the rules. I have had one person give me their personal information to keep in touch. I haven’t really used it, but none the less it happened.

Same here. Phone number and everything. It felt too fishy for my tastes. And I got screwed when talking with someone from the Nami forum before and believe me I learned.

Mine was just their real name and email address I think. It was a regular on the forum that I had talked to frequently though so I wasn’t worried about it being “fishy” or anything like that.

I think szs are often forced to be sociable even when we don’t feel good which gives us reason to be suspicious of our and other sz’s insincerity.
