Has anybody worked with an occupational therapist?

Did you find it of any use?

My mum has done before and she found it incredibly helpful for support when I was going through my episode.

I’m working with an occupational agency. My job interview is in 2 1/2 hours that they got me. It’s probably Different in my state then your country but it is very helpful

I had one meeting with her and she made a comment about ‘mooching around the house’ and I didn’t like it. I didn’t take to her and I felt insulted and frankly a little belittled. She clearly had no compassion for what I had been through…

I have an occupational therapist.

She is nice… Someone I talk to sometimes. I used to see her a lot more, now less than once a month.

She does not give me any personal advice. Only techniques to better cope with some symptoms. She gave me a worksheet to write down my thoughts and some cognitive dysfunction worksheet.

She tries to help me better organize my life.

It has been slightly helpful.

I don’t know is if she could be called an occupational therapist, but I used to have a therapist who used to come at my apartment to see how I feel, to talk with me and to give me advises. She have helped me A LOT during my 12 nightmare years and I owe her a lot! :slightly_smiling_face:
