My mother is oriental orthodox and my father is oriental catholic but when I used to go to church we went to orthodox church since I was young. My parents celebrate both orthodox and catholic holidays sometimes. My cousins’s families are coming to visit us today for Easter, I think they’re catholic as he’s on my father’s side.

Not a great Easter. My wife is at farm as parents are in hospital. Something is wrong with her mom and they had to put her dad in as well because dementia. He can’t be left alone. My wife was visiting them in the hospital today as the latest covid wave is really ramping up. I’m in the doghouse for not going with. So much for enjoying the week off I had booked with my wife.

Oriental Catholics are Eastern Catholics who has their own liturgy and everything- very similar to Orthodox churches.
And since Orthodox churches are recognized by Catholics as valid, it doesn’t really matter which church you go to.
Just enjoy the holidays. Happy Easter!
