I can’t even fully articulate how much that disgusts me. This is ironic coming from someone who has the disadvantage of schizophrenia. I suppose we should just start killing off anyone over 65 years old, as they should not be allowed to survive since they are not as fit as 25 year old college graduate and will not be contributing as much to general society.

Come on dude. You are comparing a mentally ill person with an elderly person. No comparison here since seniors can still live a full meaning life compared to an impeding medicated schizophrenic. Yes, I have this mental illness but I have decided to improve myself and break through certain stigmas of the disease.
That’s a great hope.

No, I think he meant that poor people are subject to the laws of nature in a way that higher society isn’t. They must “battle it out” anyway I’m just paraphrasing I don’t subscribe to this belief
I think sometimes the systems in place need to fail first in order to bring about change.

The poor are in circumstances that they may not be in control of or have a financial situation that has lead them down this path. There will always be poor people even if those who are poor don’t survive today, there will be poor people tomorrow and in the future.

In a future with hyper abundance through technological advancement, it really may be possible
Now… Getting rid of poverty is one thing, but getting rid of wealth probably will never happen so they’re always be disparity. But that doesn’t mean that people need to be below the poverty line or that the poverty line has to be so meager. We could live in a world of fundamentally middle class individuals in totality with some individuals who ascend from it to a higher status or class.

There will always be poverty in a societal structure. Communism tried to abolish poverty but failed.

The command economy of Communism where the state owned the means of production and there was no class system failed the former USSR. This economic system was not sustainable.
