Is 150 mg shot every two weeks a lot or a low dose of haldol? My psychiatrist said it was a low dose.
I take 300mg haldol every month
He is a liar. I took 15-35mg every 4 weeks. My doc says the lowest adult dose is normally 25mg here.
I searched in the official guidelines for pharmacists here in the Netherlands. They recommend the following.
10-15x the daily oral dose every 4 weeks. So 20mg of haldol will be 200 to 300mg every 4 weeks. Or 100 to 150mg every 2 weeks. It says 50-200mg every 4 weeks is the most effective dose. 300mg every 4 weeks the maximum dose. That is your dose. It is not low.
What oral dose did you use?
I’d sure hate to see what he thinks is a high dose then.
