That’s probably not true. It’d be hard to take care of a lot of children with unmedicated schizophrenia. And so what :sleeping:

even if I can’t take care of them doesn’t matter!
You can hand them over to the authorities if you want.

I raised two children on my own with unmedicated sza for ten years, and one of the children has mental health issues of her own. Talk about torture. Sometimes going on just a few hours of sleep a night, working full time+. Not fun at all, and no you can’t just hand them over if it gets too hard, it doesn’t work that way.

Nobody would prevent me from having loads of kids, NOBODY!!!
Thoughts that you need to raise children you birthed are intrusive thoughts,
I guarantee you this.
If not up to raising the kids you can give them to authorities or for adoption.
I if a woman would be interested in birthing many kids, not in raising them.
Raising them is not my problem, let the state find a solution for them.

My parents raised two children while they were unmedicated. My dad has sza and my mom is bipolar with psychotic features. It was crazy sometimes and we would often wonder where our next meal was coming from when they couldn’t work. My brother and i both inherited mental illnesses. He got the bipolar with psychotic features and i got the schizoaffective disorder

If you participate in making children, you have a moral responsibility for taking care of them. Children are people and have a right to not be harmed, and having children you can’t or won’t care for is to harm them in a very serious way. It is not right to expect other people to fix your mistakes. I expect you won’t make another thread about this. Keep your thoughts about harming children to yourself. The only reason I’m not banning you is because I don’t think you realize what you are actually saying.
