Had anyone else noticed their first class mail getting delivered in 5 days instead of 1 - 3 days?

I’m pretty sure the usps is getting ready to buy all of those aviation passenger jets and retrofit them to be cargo jets.

Everytime I ship something on eBay is 2 day priority as well

I think they’re gearing up for a big change.

Yes. Our mail is taking longer due to the post office stopping overtime.

Yea, it takes a letter 12 days to get to my address - from my bank in the same town.

Also, my mom straight up forwarded me 1st class mail to me one day and I DID NOT get the letter.

I had one package from etsy get delivered to a wrong address, and the post office couldn’t get it back from the people they delivered it to.

Bed, bath and beyond took 3 months to deliver 3 of the 4 lightbulbs I ordered- in two separate shipments, and now they think they are done with my order!

Here in Canada packages from AliExpress China take 5-7 months to arrive.

Social distancing at the Sortation Plants means less people on the belts processing your mail.

This could be a factor in receiving late mail.

I’m in the shipping business btw, so I know this first-hand.

I get the email everyday with pictures of what is coming in the mail that day. In some instances it has been two days late. Sometimes our mail lady doesn’t come at all.

It seems like USPS mail delivery is delayed more often than in the past. My main concern frankly is potential delay in mail order prescription refills since many people (myself included) get our meds from the pharmacy by USPS mail.

Amazon Prime is psycho they ship UPS but UPS gives the packages to the post office and then the post office takes their time giving you your stuff. I used to get my stuff in 2 days. Now it takes 2 weeks. It’s crazy.

We’ve had slow over here in Australia. Seems to depend on which part of the country it comes from but parcels aren’t too bad. Normal mail though is way slower and I think they put off a lot of delivery people and are moving to delivering every second day…

I placed an online order early during the pandemic when international mail was really impacted and it took 2 months for my package to go from Finland to the U.S. Apparently, it was rerouted from air transport to ship transport. It did eventually show up.

The United States Postal Service has been losing billions of dollars a year every year since about 2010. It needs help and it needs fixing and it needs money.

Might have something to do with the slow service.

My free Shipping from Amazon (no prime) is taking like an extra month. Total bs.

My prime almost always is delivered by USPS It is very rare they send it UPS here. It is usually Amazons own shipping service that then transfers it to the post office for final delivery. They need more money period. The mail person here won’t deliver my packages to the house and I have to go pick them up. Yes, what used to take two days is now more like a week. I don’t mind waiting, as I feel for the delivery people who are over worked and under paid!
