bought a new book to read and got an R2D2 action figure off amazon…still have plenty of money left for life and bills. I feel still unsafe because I heard for three weeks is when you can say you’re really quit. day 15. anybody say hell yeah??? HELL YEAH.

@StonePaperScissors yes sir !! Today was pay day and I wasn’t even tempted to get a pack at all…I’ve deep down always hated smoking…that’s why I’ve kept at it trying to quit…I used to believe that if you quit for 3 days the nicotine leaves your system…which is true but your body still withdrawals quite heavily for at least a week at least for me. Angie kept me strong by talking me out of it a couple times I got really stressed so I owe this quit to her.

Congratulations @jukebox! I am so happy that you’ve quit smoking, as now you can be healthier as you age. Only 6 more days to go until that 3 week mark you were talking about. You can do this!!

thanks buddy…you’re right…I am pretty far in a quit right now…don’t wanna blow it…not drinking for a while…maybe forever…when I drink I get a heavy buzz and blow it on one cig. I’ve learned I can’t control myself when I see other smokers when I’m drunk…hey mac, mind if I bum a cigarette? oh and I’ll need a light too…hahaha

I thought I was a lost cause as also some have said on here…I have quit and started back up more than anyone I know…I just can’t drink anymore.

it’s not like I can afford to drink anyways…I have to really stretch the money if I allow buying whiskey or beer. Drinking is always too much work for me…last time I drank I made the mistake with downing my evening meds with beer instead of water and ran for the bathroom throwing up…what I do…go back and finish the last beer in the fridge…nah…I don’t need to drink…don’t even like the taste of it anymore.

Whoever called you a lost cause (I know of one ass hole in particular) should have been banned for a day. People are so quick to call you out when you express your opinion, and then half of them take it as an invitation to berate you or make fun of your hard stance in meds. Then they’ll act shocked when you start to wonder if you are appreciated here or not. Makes my blood boil.

be at peace brother… @Sardonic haha I forgive him…he’s not well he is so high achieving that he makes himself ill from all the stress that I’m sure he has…I just wish he hadn’t said that…hurt my feelings that I don’t want to talk about it. anymore.
