Got the job as a janitor

At first I kept getting denied and then wednesday I got a call back to be a janitor at a warehouse. I went in and there wasn’t really an interview but a background check and a document check. Hopefully it’s not a red flag. I think we’ll be cleaning restrooms the docks and bays? That’s what I think he said atleast. My dad used to work at this one loading boxes so I hope it’s not too bad. Nobody is going to be there while we’re cleaning and it pays pretty decent. Thinking about just getting 2 paying clients for my business and doing this job. But it’s part time so I can still go out and meet people.

I’ve worked as a janitor before, it’s easy once you get into a routine. I didn’t last long due to my symptoms, but it was an honest job. I hope it works out for you

@everhopeful @Tulane @anon54334749 @Bitty Thanks! I hope I last and don’t quit on impulse. My voc rehab counselor found me a work from home job in a call center but they never called me back and it would’ve triggered my anxiety. This is perfect.

When I was a dish washer , I found it quite therapeutic - it made me not think about anxiety as much back then. Hopefully it’s similar for you as a janitor

Thank you and I’ve changed jobs about 30 times. But if your job is tolerable and providing for you and you can look at the same time or sign up for a fellowship. Try that. I chose this job so I could save mental energy for what i want to do.
