Got a date but not a time won’t until I sign some paper work and get blood tests. My surgery is set for the 15th of August. They are going to take out the metal hardware in my ankle. I’m a little scared but at the same time it’s okay. My partner has to work that day. My parents are about an hour and a half away with no vehicle. I honestly don’t want my in laws there. my partner’s little sister, nieces and nephews want to be there but I told them no they have school.

I hope your surgery goes perfectly! Who will stay with you though? Will you go alone?

I don’t know. My partner might try to get the day off. But since the day off wasn’t requested before the monthly schedule came out if she can’t switch shifts with someone and calls off she will get a few points against her.

Well I hope your partner can get the day off, but even if not, I think your surgery will go well. I think you’ll be okay. It’s normal to be scared I imagine, but you are strong and you will make it through.

Thanks, the doctor said that the surgery won’t take as long as the first one to put the hardware in and it’s less traumatic on the bones. But I dont like surgeries.
Your partner is going to have to help you stick up for yourself when the cruel callous in-laws want you to do chores on a bad ankle.

I can only imagine, surgery must be very frightening. I’m sorry you have to go through this, but really I hope everything goes perfectly.
Yeah well according to my in laws it’s my fault my ankle is so bad for walking 5 days after surgery doing chores not following doctor’s orders.
Anyway my partner may not be able to get that day off

My partner was going to take that day off but my brother in law’s kidneys are failing and she had to take the day off today to go see him with my mother in law because he was transferred to a hospital over two hours away.
I care about my brother in law he was always nice to me.
