Got me a retro gaming handheld console

Comes with over 4000 games. Plays older games. I like playing it more than my Nintendo switch. feels better in the hands. It’s made by a company called Anbernic. This model is 150 dollars. Well worth it so far.

I grew up in the 70’s and early 80’s and remember the first arcade games and consoles. I think I was 3 or so when I saw a pong game in the pub. Looks like a fun bit of kit and lot of fun.

What consoles does it emulate? Is this legal?

I just bought a Nintendo Switch a couple of weeks ago and have been binge-playing “Animal Crossing”. It’s a lot of fun!

nice, i had an anbernic rg351p. it was cool playing gba and ps1 games and such. now i do some n64, dreamcast, and psp emulation occasionally on my phone as i no longer have the anbernic

all the older consoles. ps1, n64, nes, super nes, neo geo, gameboy, atari, etc.

It’s generally accepted that it’s fine to do. Nobody was ever sued for game roms.

Animal Crossing is fun.

Reason you got rid of the device? I bet your phone is way more powerful, maybe that’s the reason. I just think the retro handheld is so cool.

i liked it its a good device, i sold it because i cant focus very much on games at the time. regardless if it was my pc, xbox or handhelds, i would start games and play for a few minutes then feel exhausted. so i sold it to buy something to reignite the natural endorphins of opening new tech lol.

No but I’ve never seen devices like these get sued. Nintendo doesn’t care much about older system emulation. Also they are probably made in China and they don’t care about western IP laws. You can download ROMs on the regular internet and I’ve never seen those sites get taken down. The only thing I’ve seen taken down is the fan made Metroid 2 remake. It sucks because they spent 10 years working on it and it was better than the remake Nintendo released shortly after.

Where did you get this?

Nintendo at it again lol. I remember they threatened to sue my old workplace because they wanted to use their characters for their slideshows.
