As the title says, I got my shot for the plague of the 21st century today. I think my 5th now. Pretty bad when the numbers are getting so high that you start to lose track.
Dad scheduled his and mine at CVS instead of HY-VEE where I got the last 4 and we got them together. They did it kind of odd and didnt ask for old cards(which dad was carrying) to put an entry on. They also didnt make us wait the 15 minutes or whatever for a reaction.
Both of these things were more convenient, but seemed less professional to me. Seemed like they skipped required steps in the process. I guess its fine though.
I’m scheduled to get my fifth next week. I got a flu shot at my annual checkup, but they didn’t have the latest Covid shot, so I’ve scheduled me and hubby for that. I haven’t had issues with it before, so I’m holding out for no problems.
I’m going to CVS, too. They always tell us to wait 15 minutes, and there is a 15 minute-specific sitting area set up there. Last time, I forgot my card and got fussed at for it. Hubby had told me that they are moving away from cards, though, so that’s nice! I can forget mine and maybe not get lectured. lol
I actually have had six covid shots. Why six instead of five?
Back when I got my first covid shot, the pharmacy I went to had that crappy Janssen one-dose covid vaccine the day I went so that’s what I got. Because there was never clear guidance for people who got the Janssen vaccine, I ended up deciding to go back to square one and to start over and got both doses of the Pfizer covid vaccine some months later. And then got three Pfizer covid boosters over time. The Janssen covid vaccine is no longer used.
