Got a phone upgrade today

There is only £140 left to pay on my old contract. I got an email saying I could upgrade so I did. I went for the iPhone 16 plus. Also cos it was a good deal I got a Mac book air with it.

I’m currently using a iPhone 13 plus.

No clue what I will do on the MacBook Air but perhaps I will make it my main device for watching YouTube videos and browsing the internet.

I bought a cheap Android for $130.00.

I can phone, text, email…lots of other bells and whistles. My plan is $30.00 per month.

If your not taxing your mac book it will last a very long time

I had my first one for 8 years and it never missed a beat

Still sold it for £240 on eBay

That’s good @Patrick

I have been using iPhone for years. I did briefly switch to android for about 6 months and I couldn’t get along with it at all. I’m too used to iOS.

@Joker do you have a MacBook now ? If so what do you find it useful for.

I do last year I got a brand new m1 mac book pro 14 inch screen from curry’s.

It was heavily discounted as I think they’re on m3 or m4 processor now.

But even the M1 that was 2020 (I think) still has more power than is ever needed for my uses

My main uses are just YouTube, office and music

If your not doing photo or video editing the kinda power these things have might not be useful short term but it being so powerful it should survive many software updates etc

The mac book air I had for 8 years I got as a student and I never noticed it slowing down at all

The MacBook Pro now has the m4 chip. The 2024 MacBook Air which is what I got has the m3 chip.

I will probably just use it for browsing and watching movies in bed. Maybe some productivity too.

It’s interesting as they use the type of processor that’s normally in a smart phone but they have scaled it up to laptops and tablets now

Caught out intel big time but I am sure they will catch up
