Got a cold. Last time o had a cold the pharmacist said all I was allowed was Tylenol

So decongestants and cough syrup were contraindicated on my given meds.

(As a kid I had a problem with cough syrup so I don’t have it in the house now)

I was looking up how vitamin C affects your immune system a while ago. I guess it will shorten the length of a cold by one day. Ground breaking stuff.

half my meds are contraindicated with each other it doesn’t stop them from prescribing them anyway. I’m not going to suffer through a cold without a decongestant for a little contraindication and then take something like Tylenol which is probably just as bad. I would ask the pharmacist again what the risks are vs the benefit.

Really? Which meds are that? Seroquel? I just had a cold and drank cough syrup.

Yeah seroquel and depixol (fluanxol). I think the pharmacists here are ultra cautious

Interactions with my meds and cold meds or pain meds are what they called moderate interactions. Mostly it is just being more drowsy.

That is what I was thinking

If you Google drug interactions there is a checker that you can check meds for interactions
