I sometimes get so caught up in thinking about all the horrible stuff that’s happened to me that I forget about all the great stuff. I’ve had a lot of amazing stuff happen in my life. I sometimes forget just how lucky I am
Here’s one I remember: I took a long walk, about 5 miles, in one direction and it was late and I was getting tired. And then right in front of me was a taxi parked on the side of the road. He gave me a ride home. I paid of course. I was so glad.
What’s your favorite memory that you want to share, @anon55713086?
My favourite memory is jogging with music on the nice bright sunny days and really enjoying it.
Even rainy days were nice n refreshing coming home n putting on cozy warm clothes n the amazing endorphin rush.
My favorite memory was getting accepted to my dream school. Went down hill from there. Been disabled ever since. That was like 8 years ago.
I have a comforting memory of swimming in my grandparents’ pool right before a thunderstorm. Don’t know why it was so much fun feeling like I was in imminent danger, but…
Walking my Shih Tzu on a baseball outfield just as the heavy duty sprinklers came on. She went bonkers and loved every minute of it.
Probably when I stayed in a cabin with my family for a week during the summer. We spent the whole week having fun, not worrying about anything. It was pretty great
My favorite memory is doing a lap naked in psych ward. Boy did everybody laugh. The guard laughed the hardest I’d say. Then I got locked in a camera room for 24 hours. That was fun
Wow i was just thinking the same thing the other day. Ptsd for me feels like it recasts my entire past as just this horrible thing, but I have so so many good and wonderful memories too.
