Getting up there in age

do any of you folks who are not so young anymore notice that you are getting worse in areas like short term memory, anxiety, depression but having less psychosis? that seems to be my take on things. also my manias are more hypomania now rather than full blown manias.

I’m only 30 so some people will consider me a baby …ever since my diagnoses my memory wasn’t great anymore. I use to remember a lot of things (short term and long)…no photographic also but I think iam “somewhat” better? only had my condition for 5 years or so…

I’m getting up there in age and notice more memory issues.

I am 40 since last September 13 and my brain’s abilities are almost as good as they were when I was a teen and I’m taking many medications since 2001, including an antipsychotic since 2013.

I’m 49 and in the last year or two it has become a really serious issue for me

I had similar memory loss that was getting quite bad but the brainHQ brain training fixed it. The effect of the training was fairly dramatic.

I am 55 and I try to do brain exercises like online puzzles. works for me.

I’m sza. 36 soon to be 37 (gah!) My memory and thinking gets bad some times but I have issues with low blood sugar (type 2 diabetes)

My positives are way better than when I was still a young man and my mania or hypomania has rarely been bad to begin with.

I read most of the time and produce music when I can be arsed to.

When you get to my age you start to worry about early onset dementia.

That’s my worry. Dementia runs in my family. I have no idea if it’s genetic.

I’m getting up in age and I’m never manic anymore nor psychotic it seems. I’m never depressed either. Anxiety is all I’m left with. I’m 57 now and female. My memory does leave a lot to be desired though. But, nutrition, exercise, meditation, nootropic drugs, and learning new things helps the memory.

I turn 49 in six weeks and I’m running circles around where I was in my early 20s. Being clean and sober helps. Keep using your noodle and it won’t shrivel up too much.

I’ve always had serious problems with short term memory and attributed it to pot.

But when I quit for a few years, I think it got worse.

Now it seems better, keeping with a healthy routine and vitamins.

We’ll see…
