Gave my dog a bath tonight and

He was cold. So I put a heating pad on him on my lap to warm him up. It worked! Yay!

How big is your dog?

He’s a ten pound Shih Tsu. So he’s very small

I always joked that I’d lose a dog that small. I did foster a 3 lb toy poodle once. I had to keep him gated in the kitchen because I was also watching a full grown Deerhound until a friend could arrange transport up north. I didn’t want to test that combo.

That was good thinking. You never know.

You know, I bet this idea could keep my piggies warm! CP is fine but BP needs a bath. He’s stinky! Thanks for the tip!

I’m assuming you blow dried your dog first? Never put a damp or wet dog on a heating pad. Water and electricity don’t mix.

My dog tries to climb in my lap. Nothing like a 90 to 100 pound German Shepherd on you.

He’s too big for any heating pad.

It’s the kind you put in the microwave. It’s not plugged into the wall. Sorry for not making that clear @Moonbeam

Its not like its on the plug. If anything it would just make the heating pad wet

It’s ok @pasteyface. She just didn’t realize what I meant because it wasn’t clear. I would never plug in something and put it on my wet dog. It’s not safe
