Full moon so I am ill again - lunacy?

I swear every full moon my cheese slips off my cracker. Anyone else get this?

I think it might be. Or getting very close to it at least. Honestly man I get a lot more anxious with the moon

Today I had the desire to quit meds without psychiatrist’s consent. I had anxiety too.

I think you might be looking for places to blame your problems on. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I agree that my observations undoubtably have confirmation bias. But I think possibly the moon theorem has a tiny degree of merit

No @anon94176359, you are not a salmon. It has no affect on you, you obviously have varying levels of anxiety, and you keep guessing at what the cause is. I think there might be no cause though, thats just how mental illness goes, ups and downs. I think if you believe that yourself though, you might actually become anxious everytime there is a full moon because you are so used to it.

Yeah that is a definitely a risk. I will try to forget about it. I don’t religiously look at lunar calendars or anything but I agree it isn’t a healthy situation

How’s the caffeine reduction going?
It seemed like for a while there, you were consuming large amounts of caffeine which contributed to your anxiety quite a bit

Thanks for remembering. Yeah given up coffee completely just tea which doesn’t make me anxious like coffee.

I think I am having sleep troubles which could explain most of my anxiety

I used to think this but eventually I found there was no pattern and the times were just coincidence.

The word derives from lunaticus meaning “of the moon” or “moonstruck”. The term was once commonly used in law.

I’m actually having an exceptionally bad day today. But I’m sure it’s just a coincidence. I’ve had these types of days before and it wasn’t a full moon.

I know my anxiety and psychosis come on later in the day like in the evening between 3 pm and 12 am. I don’t think the moon has anything to do with it though. My last episode was day before yesterday.
