As suspected weight up another 1.2 lbs overnight. Bad sleep since Sunday has seen me gain back 3.8 lbs of the weight I’d lost. Ideally you should lose weight in sleep but the opposite is happening with me.
The frustrating thing is I went to bed early last night but it took me ages to get off and then woken by that damn banging from above(it was past midnight). Then ages to get off again. Irrespective of how long it takes me to get off to sleep I am waking as soon as it’s getting light.
It used to be said that early morning waking was a depression thing but I am more frustrated than any more depressed than usual or at least that’s how it seems to me.
Thought I was doing well with the weight but now it’s in tatters. I can’t even blame it on eating too much . It’s so frustrating and demoralising.
Have ordered a sleep mask.
aww wish you good health @firemonkey hopefully you’ll get through this. Don’t give up.
Gotta stop weighing yourself every day, just do it weekly.

also dont get too obssessive about good sleep. sleep is important in losing weight but the most important factor is actually calories in vs calories out. so if you really want to lose those pounds than you should either 1) go on a diet where you eat primarely vegetables and lean meats or 2) you should excercise in order to train off the calories gained from eating or 3) try to change the medicine, perhaps your AP has a dramatic effect on your metabolism
The calorie thing is important no doubt but it’s not logical when you put on 1.2 lbs in a day(that would require nearly 7000 calories in a day for someone of my weight. Which no way have I consumed).
you have to consider that the mathematics behind the calories is biological not linear so you will have to take into consideration that there are dozens of factors which defy any sense of strict mathematical equations. perhaps you should ask your pdoc wether the meds youre taking is famous for weakening metabolism.
