Egads! It’s f-ing COLD in here. The heat has been out since 4 o’clock pm yesterday. Right now the news is on and the temperature outside is -8°F outside. Can’t tell what it is in here thermometer only goes down to 50.
Bad time for the heating to go. Did they say when it would be back? Stay in bed with plenty of blankets!
Best thing to do is dress appropriately for that situation. If I wear tight thermal underclothing and baggy outer clothing I can go outside when it’s -40F and I’ll actually be sweating except for my face that I can’t realistically keep warm. I guess the mechanics behind it is the thermal clothing conducts heat really good and then there’s a buffer of warm/hot air between the underclothes and the outer clothes. But I’m also more cold natured than people normally are where anything above 70F makes me overheat but that tip will probably still help you. Maybe also a blanket since you’re indoors.
Our apartment doesn’t have heat vents from the main house so we have a small gas heater in the kitchen but it doesn’t heat up the bedroom/living room. I don’t know how cold it is but we wrapped my bearded dragon in a blanket.

Drink warm fluids. Eat caloric foods. Move around regularly. Go elsewhere where there is heat?
