Freedom and wonder I thought was what Pan is all about? Anyways freedom can potentially be a big trap. We’re in these situations and they feel so limiting. At least for me. I think that energy and thought you have is going to change, though.
Freedom of action is not really freedom unless you are also free to accept the consequences of your actions. That’s where most people get into trouble.
That’s a good point. Freedom is an experiment just like any other political change in the past, but humanity is going to work it out. It’s righteous. We are the most empowered animals ever. I think it’ll all balance out. Education will become free, certification won’t but it’ll be cheaper than college. This will allow anyone who wants to rise above the opportunity to make the necessary sacrifices in lifestyle to become an appropriated human being.
Freedom is the worst thing there is, except for every other thing. In a free society the public debate is rigorous and people have to question their beliefs. Doubt is tiring to the soul. But I’m sure you don’t want to live under a system like Joseph Stalin’s or Adolph Hitler’s. I’ve often wondered if the German soldiers on the steppes of Russia ever realized their mistake. Humanity craves certainty, but we’re never so lost as when we think we have found The Answer.
