Free Runtastic Apps

I am currently experimenting with replacements for apps I had on my iPhone before Mrs. Pixel ran it through the laundry. I’m rather liking the Runtastic fitness apps. Here’s the one I just used:

They seem to have iPhone equivalents for those who are still trapped in Apple territory.

Would be interested to hear who else is using Fitness apps, and which ones.

i have heard of a good one called army training or something but idk if i can do that just now,

i have achieved something though without the use of an app,

i walked about a mile yesterday myself and it was really good,

first time i had my dog and we done about a 1/4 of a mile maybe half and then i did it with sweep and we saw a green frog sitting on top of a red frog and sweep nearly stood on it, then yesterday i saw two squirells chasing each other on a tree (that was really neat) so i guess spring is in the air lol

weather was awesome as well, so yeah 1 mile in 40 mins. not bad for a first time (might have been 30mins) :+1:

I like Noom pedometer but it’s only available for Android. Also using myfitnesspal. Another handy app for Android is KeepTrack which let’s you log all kinds of data pretty easily. I track my weight, blood pressure, car odometer, how often I take my dad out and so on. I haven’t seen as nice an app for iPhone yet.

All three apps are cool because you can export the data to tab delimited files which you can read into a spreadsheet or other plotting programs. Here is a plot I made from my noom data from October… Generally was walking less during the winter.

I had forgotten last night that my Runtastic account is linked to my MyFitnessPal account, which is in turn linked to my Fitbit account. Which is a bit labyrinthine, to say the least. Anyhow. After doing my pushups, squats, and sit ups, I went to my Fitbit dashboard to log my exercise and found out that it was already there courtesy of my link with MyFitnessPal. Very handy. I like things that just work and don’t cost me extra.
