oh man, I saw a pic of him on facebook and suddenly all the memories of listening to Bruce in early recovery came back…I have been listening to my favorite albums by “the Boss” ever since today. so good.
I listened to the river yesterday. It’s good.
Today I listened to suvivor, eye of the tiger album.
I usually love your musical taste @jukebox but I’m going to have to disagree with you with this
Bruce is from my home state of New Jersey and he is supposedly a very nice guy in person but I absolutely can’t stand his music!
Sorry @jukebox
@Wave haha it doesn’t matter to me if you hate Bruce…his best albums were in the seventies…it’s an acquired taste…he moans a lot I know haha
A Bruce Springsteen concert in 1978 was the best concert I’ve ever been to.
@77nick77 oh man I would kill to see the boss…and he was really in his prime in 78. cool man.
Yeah, I saw him again in 1994. He wasn’t as good as in 1978 but it was still good.
you lucky dog…twice…I saw the police twice in the same year of their synchronicity tour…haha
I like his album The Rising
I just don’t like the boss’s later work as much…Nebraska is about as late as I listen to…that and “the ghost of tom joad”. Springsteen is prolific in his work. I am impressed he’s doing work still.
I dig the Boss too. He’s very poetic in his lyrics.
Idk if anyone remembers but apparently him and Elvis Costello had a little beef in the late 70s.
I think it all stemmed from an SNL appearance from Costello, but I could be wrong.
