Forensic sketch artists

I guess I should just say that I never thought I’d be in the situation that I am in. But I’m gonna share my personal experience here. I’ve always been fascinated by sketch artists in like true crime tv shows but never really knew how they did their job. I met with one yesterday and it was really interesting.

She had me describe the situation. Then she had me go through a book of 100s of photos of people and focus on each individual part. Like find the eyes that matched his, and find the nose, and so forth. She got a rough sketch then asked me how to revise it, like “the eyes were further apart” etc. It took about 3 1/2 hours and the end result was scary it was so similar.

So anyway if anyone is wondering what that process looks like that’s how they do it.

That is a funny comedian. But not at all accurate.

Oh my goodness that’s hilarious. Thankfully the sketch artist I worked with was really good at her job
