Forced Treatment

Tribunal is a kangaroo court :kangaroo: there’s no repercussions for doctors who have made false claims on involuntary stay forms to suit their or the parents own desires for the patient.

So it just goes on and noone does anything. This should be taken more seriously. They should have some kind of repercussion: suspension, termination, license revoked etc. for invalidly commiting someone. It’s a serious offence, but they just play it off, cry and say ā€œwell, I was erring on the side of caution :smiling_face_with_tear:ā€. Nonsense. Those are my human rights.

From my perspective organized community vs individual or individual vs society is the major conflict in the issue of sz. It seems that sz accelerates a type of communitarianism. My personal opinion is that organized community has no right over an individual and the relationship between an individual and collective is antagonist/ persecutory. The individual persecutes the collectivist by not working together and being cooperative and trusting and agreeable etc. and the collectivist persecutes the individual by using cooperation mutual trust and agreement to mobilize an organized and legitimized assault on the individual. When the individual assaults it is illegal and when the collective assaults it is legal. The individual after this assault has ti decide whether they want to integrate into the collective or fight them which will have consequences. Agreeing that the assault was a good thing legitimizes this type of collective behavior but standing individual ground possibly creates progressive conflict and systemic change against communitarianism

They generally don’t say that unless it’s pretty obvious. Psychiatric resources are stretched tight almost everywhere. Health authorities can’t afford to waste them on those who are not ill. If they’re allocating resources to you it means there is a darn good reason for it.

I have heard mental health services are overstretched here, but it doesn’t add up that they wasted time with me, probably makes their job easier rather than hassling people that are actually dangerous. They don’t do their job properly, there was no assessment, all just rubber stamping.

There are downright evil, power tripping mental health professionals. A profession where you can completely control people’s life will attract these types.

I definitely like to go that far in my indictments too. If psychology is like sociology, psychiatry would definitely be the functionalism, where the conservative students go: that society is made up of all functional parts and individual deviant behavior of any kind needs to be controlled by certain parts. Then there is functionalism in psychology/ philosophy of mind which is different. I just say this because it is similar to your statement that a certain type of person goes into psychiatry.
