How many tattoos do you have? How long ago did you get your last one? What did you get for your last one? Do you have plans for your next one?
My last tattoo I got last July; I got it three days after my cat of thirteen years passed away. Some might think it dumb to get a tattoo for a deceased pet, but she was my girl. It was my eighth tattoo.
My next tattoo session will likely be after I get my taxes back next February or March. I plan to knock out three tattoos in that session.
One will be the word “persevere” down the inner side of my left lower leg.
Another will be a silhouette of an airplane, as a memorial tattoo for my dad, whom was obsessed with airplanes/flight. That one will go just below “persevere.”
On the back of that lower leg I will get the Aenima eye with flames coming up from underneath and flickering above. For those who don’t know what the Aenima eye looks like, it’s from the artwork on that Tool album. Not only is that masterpiece one of my favorite albums, I think the eye is also a cool design for a tattoo.
Bit by bit, I’m building a half-sleeve on my left lower leg. Once it is complete I will start adding to my right lower leg.
Unlike the Aenima eye tattoo in that pic, I will not have my artist fill the white of the eye with white ink. He wouldn’t be willing to do it, anyway. Hell no. White tattoos turn yellow with age, and I don’t want the eye to look like it has jaundice. I will have him just leave that part of the eye uninked; my skin is pale enough, anyway lol.
I have a tattoo on my left lower arm of a yin/yang symbol shaped by fish.
On my other arm, I would love to have all the planets of the solar system (including Pluto)
