yeah, sad. I’m a conspiracy nut though, don’t know how much of that is all an inside job.

or if it all really happened.

Like drug dealers and guns? Or gangsters and guns?

It’s not that bad. Yeah we have guns here. But every country does. I live in a place where the only guns are for hunting.deer :deer: turkey :turkey: I.e.

What you see on the internet doesn’t always match up to the reality of how things are.

I think America sounds like a very interesting country. I would like to live there, but I think I’m going to move to Australia instead. Overall, I like American culture a lot, but I find it a bit narcissistic, a bit uncaring, and a bit anti-intellectual. I suspect a lot of the problems the US faces are because good education is not readily available. I’m pretty sure the average person here in Northern Europe is quite a lot more educated than the average American, and that this is partly because job opportunities for uneducated people in the US are better, and partly because education in the US is very expensive. It’s free here. But the US is, without a doubt, a large cultural influence here in Europe, and I admire that.

@anon9798425 do you guys protest there?

We’re down on our Congress, I think that’s why we get a lot.

Yes, we protest a lot. But Europe is a complicated place. Things differ from country to country. Overall, people across Europe protest a lot and enjoy very high levels of free speech.

I have a college degree, the first in my immediate family, despite trying with my brothers, I guess the girls are all in college, and there was never any doubt,

my daughter would get one too. Both of us were in income guidelines at the time where almost all tuition was covered, just had to pay living expenses.

Phil never went to college, neither did his sons.

I went to college for 2 1/2 years but I was raped and got pregnant so I had to drop out to take care of my baby. My daughter is now 21.

I lived in America almost 13 years. I think America is an interesting place. There are very rich and very poor people. Some live in nice neighborhoods and some people live in the slum projects. I have mixed feelings, good and bad, there are quite beautiful places and then cities such as NYC where I would not like to live. I lived in Atlanta almost 10 years and it was ok. What else could I write?

Come to Texas. It’s beautiful and though the people get on my nerves. Go to Austin.

What is not understood, is that even in nice neighborhoods, the family might be struggling

I’m the poorest person in my cul de sac, and the high schoolers come to my door for a donation to the food bank. I can barely feed myself. But now I got Phil.

A lot of people are just one health condition away from losing it all.

I’m Canadian, not an overseas person, but still, I like the direction America is heading, they’re championing an anti-globalism trend that is making reverberations everywhere.

I don’t want my country to lose all its manufacturing to countries with poor labor laws. I don’t want my country to rely solely on the service industry to inflate employment numbers. Manufacturing is part of what makes a country great.
