Wants a cake I used to make all the time when she was little. I was going to bake it tonight to eat on Christmas Eve and she said she specifically wants it Christmas Day. I find that interesting. She must really think it’s special to her. I’m going to make it tomorrow to eat on Christmas Day.
But isn’t that interesting? Cake doesn’t even go with the Chinese we’ll be having on Christmas. So interesting to me.

Yes. I had stopped making cake some years back, but she loved the tradition she just told me.
This year I visited my parents in Florida and I helped make the Christmas cookies…I made the gingerbread men into cyclops and little dough snakes to bake. It was so much fun and my mom and I had a great time talking.
We make those here but call them Mexican wedding cakes.
@WhiteRaven, tonight I’m making Christmas cookies with my 21 year old. I look forward to it. She’s out having dinner with her dad but we will do it in a couple hours

Unfortunately, my baked goods always come out great which means I want to eat them! So I rarely make them now
