Hi guys
After doing lot of research on internet i think its time to look beyond current antipsychotics(Which block dopamine receptors ). i found out Glutamate system,PDE 10 and alpha-7 nicotinic receptor targeting drugs being developed nowadays for better treatment. might be first of these will be available around 2020. Hence i want to encourage you people to keep a note on this and asks your pdoc / psychiatrist about these drugs if any of these are available for clinical trials or not.i think this is a good way to keep the hope alive.
I hope we will find new treatments soon for negative symptoms.
Please share your views and any information of any new drug you come to know.

I think generic abilify is probably the best option in a low dose for me but I still have yet to get on it. It’s not sedating so the negatives don’t really surface… but oppositely it can lead to insomnia and stuff in people who have problems sleeping (like me)… really what would be best is if I just avoid stimulants until my body’s natural energy is either bolstered or I become accustomed to it… but I do like the taste of my coffee and alleviating boredom is a crucial part of my life…
Keeping busy does actually satisfy… at some point today I have to build up the motivation to get everything back in line… but damn it I’m still worn out from the week and just want to take full advantage of the day’s capacity for relaxation as I’ve been stretching myself in a lot of different ways recently and I really need my stability and sanity going into this next week… otherwise I might end up going insane inside as I’m doing menial tasks at work and wanting nothing more than to walk the ■■■■ out and get some sleep and feel free again…
Gotta keep the job though… the parents have cut me off…
I am not sure but glutamate based med had failed(bitopertin)…
I too hope from PDE10 and Eneceniclicne(spelling error) was it based on alpha -7 nicotine…??
For effective med scientists should find out the causes of sz like C4(recent breakthrough) …
then we can except better med.

@far_cry0 yes indeed.some other drugs have also falied. I do not know till when we need to wait. what do we do bro .just pray this is not life sentence

It’s a chronic health condition and has not relay been a life sentence since the adoption of Anti psychotics.
