Concerta (extended-release methylphenidate) really helped with focus. I have been waiting to be trusted with a stimulant ever since Adderall made me break. Now, I was actually able to get a prescription and I was taking one 18 mg pill, as prescribed. Then it happened again. One night, a few nights ago, I took an extra pill. Why? To be more productive. After I swallowed that extra pill, I realized what I had just done, then told my fiancee and flushed the rest of the bottle down the toilet.
I just wanted to vent a bit about it, because it’s hard focusing for a normal length of time and it even had positive effects on my negative symptoms. I had to teach myself a lesson for my next refill. It’s about two weeks away. Hoping my struggling will remind me to be more responsible next time. Because in combination with my other meds, it truly does a lot for me.
