Modern flat Earth societies consist of individuals who believe that the Earth is flat rather than an oblate spheroid. Such groups date from the middle of the 20th century; some adherents are serious and some are not. Those who are serious may be motivated by pseudoscience or by religious literalism.[3]
In the modern era, through the use of social media, flat Earth theories have been increasingly espoused by individuals unaffiliated with larger groups.[4][5]

Thanks Nick! I guess in Australia we’re near the edge which is so shitty…we are afterall downunder in the normal scientific world…makes a joke of Antarctic …some serious dudes spent some time there and died…but I guess that doens’t mean much to some people!
I like to joke that the world is round…it 's intertia prevents some of those religious idiots from flying off into outerspace…now that would be a good outcome!
