First time withdrawels

Hola there peeps.

Need some advice cause i cant find any anywhere else.

Aps are all different so those on clozapine dont stress

I am battling big time trying to get off clozapine. Im having such hardcore withdrawels in the night im not sure what to do anymore. I fall asleep around 10 and wake up at about 1 with body pains and panic attacks and just withdrawels from hell.

I know its the clozapine cause if i dont take it i get it. Its very fuucked up. First time in my life ive ever felt such hardcore withdrawels and ive been around the woods.

Dont know what to do. Docs prescribe me benzos and say just keep reducing the dose. Im literally down to 12 mgs and cant get off it. Waddafak.

Tried nearly all aps and this one just wont let me go no matter what.

Heeeeeelp !!!

Why did you stop clozapine?

You might have to switch to another AP and then come off the other AP if that’s what you want to do. But I ain’t no doctor.

I found out the only way to get through the withdrawals of APs is to take a depressant drug like Klonopin.

But this is from my experience and I’m not advising anyone to do this.

Hope this helps though.

Cheers.

You can try slowly decreasing the dose going from 12.5 mg to 10 to 5. A pharmacist can make such low dose capsules.

I switched cold turkey from Olanzapine to Abilify. I thought that I was having problems adapting to Abilify. Pdoc said it was probably withdrawals from Olanzapine. It was hell for about 3 months.

She refused to gave me benzos or something to help with the anxiety. I got through it somehow.

You should get in some sleep. Talk to your pdoc about a possible solution to get in some sleep. Strongs man.

I get awful withdrawals from all antipsychotics just taper slowly and it should pan out in a month

When I was reducing my dose of olanzapine (which is in the same family as clozapine I think) from 10mg to 7.5mg, again at 7.5mg to 5mg and again at 5mg to 2.5mg , I had awful anxiety and muscle tension almost every day for about three months. If your withdrawal is like mine there is a silver lining. At the end of the three months I felt like a new man for a month (before starting the next reduction). After the last reduction I felt great for about a month then my symptoms came back so we went back up to 5mg. But I lost 20kg and was doing really well on it.

In the end though, olanzapine caused my triglycerides to be very elevated which is a heart disease risk, so I had to change meds.

Remeron,at least you will sleep two hours…
About cutting im smallest doses,I did the same.
Try day on,day off…
