I’ve seen ads on the puter but I don’t get ads on my tv so I haven’t seen one there.

I don’t have a tv either, what percentage of the adds on tv would you say are for pharmaceuticals? I remember when they didn’t exist at all.

I’m not sure on a percentage honestly… but there’s quiet a bit for pharmaceutical stuff, from pills for your skin to pills for mental health @eek

Idk if I’ve seen ones for sz yet but I’ve seen a ton of ads for bipolar and depression meds. In most other 1st world countries companies aren’t allowed to advertise meds.

US big pharma spends a massive amount of money on marketing/advertising every year. (Far far more than they spend on research). It is the major reason why they make their drug prices so high.

Never in my life have i seen an advert on uk TV for anti-psychotics, let alone schizophrenia.

Its all herbal supplements and pills for thrush and erectile dysfunction.

Yes I’ve seen a bunch for bipolar and depression too, def interesting to see one for schizophrenia…
It’s a shame they put so much money into advertisement instead of research @Anna

This isn’t a UK thing, they never advertise medication on tv here, least none that I’ve seen

If I had seen an ad for antipsychotics on tv I would think that TV sends me a message

I mean I’ve seen plenty of ads for bipolar and depression, bout time they had one for schizophrenia! @Om_Sadasiva
