Finding a passion

I have found a passion in astrology. I have posted about it before but read a 485 page book called Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs, now on to my next astrology book. I first found the passion of astrology back last may, and since it has slowly picked up. I’m going to read a couple more beginner-moderate astrology books then pick up the pace and continue to read them. I am also taking a psychology course starting a week from monday. Anyone found a passion? Astrology keeps me sober and well, when I’m craving or feeling down I can just go read astrology or go to the library and take out a book and it instantly puts me in a great mood. It feels so good to have found this! But it’s saturday so I’m watching college basketball on TV, my next favorite thing. Go uconn huskies!

And the time between finishing the last book and starting this new book was hell, but now life seems good again. It’s great… Peace

Congratulations on finding something you want to do. I went through a period where I had a passion for reading. The first thing I did when I woke up was grab a book, and I read nonstop until I went to bed. It was exhilarating, but other things intruded, and the spell was broken. If you have time to pursue something you love, go for it! Nothing is quite as exhilarating as having a passion.

I’m totally with you! I have many passions. The computer is one. I love yoga, church, God, music, composing contemporary and classical piano music, recording, producing and promoting my own piano music, reading, Lectio Divina, prayer, the Rosary, volunteering, visiting with family and friends, playing and practicing my piano, belonging to prayer groups, giving to charity, taking care of my two cats, attending the symphony, the opera, museums, jazz festivals, going to restaurants on rare occasions (gotta watch my weight), etc…etc…
Yes, I have a full and wonderful life. I have learned, over the years, to not freak out over my symptoms. To go on living my life anyway, in spite of symptoms. This is something you only learn with years and maturity. Not to let your illness get in the way of living a good life.

I’m also passionate about astrology. Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs is excellent. Her other books were not that well edited, but I enjoyed them as well.

My passion is psychology and being a badass. They sort of intersect at some point.

Great that you found your passion, remember anything is possible,Astrology might be the thing/interest that keeps your symptoms away, keep it up and preservere!

This is a positive comment,I hope to be like you,not let mental symptoms affect me much…all is possible in this world

I like writing a lot, and also birdwatching. Used to stargaze a lot when I was younger, but don’t now as much as I want to. I like reading books about sz, birds, astronomy and Islam.

My two favorite things to do… swim and garden.

I have NO idea why… but my joy of swimming is the one thing this illness didn’t manage to kill.

The second thing I have developed a love for is gardening… that has come to me through my job. It started out as a job that I could do… not surrounded by people.

Now I’m very passionate about the parks and the community gardens. I’m going to school so I can do more in this area.

I have many at times then none when my episodes are acting up ;-/ lol my own madness. But I’d say art, anything creative. Cooking, drawing, painting, fashion? Video games? Depends on my mood I guess. I love reading too, words are a sensual section of the mind.
