I have worked out that if we do not get funding within a few weeks after April, I will be in a lot of financial difficulty.
I’m meeting with the people involved who stand to lose out on the kind of money that will be affecting their livelihood… if we don’t get further funding or i pay them privately
The £1800.00 shortfall will be just the beginning - probably double this maybe £4,000.00 total out of pocket if the funding body say no. to us this time - i have already applied to two organisations since October… (when i first submitted an application) and it’s taken a big piece of my sanity like a full time job - and will reapply in the next few weeks.
I will stop complaining in a minute.
I’m not loaded I’m not poor… i live in a state of overdraft of a month’s benefits. My husband pays bills and holidays… my mum helps me out with food when i spend too much, but the sessional workers who are working with me on my play are depending on the money for their livelihood and that is what i want to cover at all cost as well as the shortfall of £1800.00 if we don’t get funding to take my play to a local theatre and a local day centre. as well as the extra £2000.00 to bring them all up to a normal wage.
we have a mortgage - and will be going into more debt for this project. I can’t imagine them turning us down for more funding - but I thought that on the first round of applications.
