Another milestone with my play

Celebrating with a sparkling half strength bottle of frizzante

Today i went to the group i used to do some work with, to ask them if i could have their assistance to take part in my play.

I asked about 10 people in about 6 goes, (1 - 2 people at a time) explaining that I would get lottery funding and fund their transport and food, that there would be rehearsals Jan - March and performances April - May 2016,

I found quite a few interested people - i am going back same time same place next week or two to get feedback because I can’t raise the funds without filling out a form which details a meeting of people who will ‘benefit’ from it (service users ex homeless, in recovery from addiction, otherwise socially isolated,), I asked them to read it and get back to me in far too many words generally - i was nervous before but i didn’t realise how stressful it would be!

It was shocking!

same again for the next couple of Thursday lunch times (they meet for snacks / lunch)

So - now, even more so than for the performance in a way because that was just pro actors and 3 in the audience + my mum seeing it for the first time, now 10 more people have the script and are going to read it…

I must be mental

Your living many peoples dream at the moment. You may not see it like that but the experience you are gaining is the stepping stone to much greater things. As they say in the biz break a leg.
