Definitely tell them you’re prone to staph infections. Not all dentists use antibiotics unless the patient has a special need for it. I ate a lot of ice cream and mashed potatoes. Applesauce is tasty and soothing, but it is hard to get the necessary amount of calories on applesauce. Don’t get popsicles either, because you won’t be able to suck on anything afterwards. No straws, no ice cubes, no blowjobs. Sucking on anything can dislodge your blood clot and cause you to have something called dry socket, which can be very painful and dangerous.

I’ll definitely tell them! And thanks for the warning about sucking on things. Somebody told me to suck on ice cubes to reduce the pain but now I know I won’t be doing that!!

They will tell you all of this when you’re there too. Are you using a private dentist or a Medicaid dentist? Medicaid dentists won’t give you anything stronger than ibuprofen.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed at an oral surgeon at once and all they gave me for pain for ibuprofen. It was miserable. Like cj mentioned, the blood tastes horrible. Make sure to change out the gauze on a regular schedule else it’ll taste like rotten blood. I didn’t take them out and couldn’t eat for 3-4 days, which made me feel worse than if I would have ate. Overall it was a miserable experience, but if I would have removed the gauze and ate as I was supposed, I don’t think it would of been so harsh. Real pain killers would of helped too.
I may specifically ask for strong pain killers since I have a pain medication for my chronic migraines and I’ve built up a tolerance to it so I’ll need something strong like Vicodin level strong to put even a dent in the pain. Yet another thing my migraines have ruined 
I don’t wanna take Vicodin but it’ll only be for a short while and hopefully it’ll get rid of the pain. I’m not tolerant of surgical pain
Don’t tell them that. They might think you’re addicted to painkillers. Private dentists usually give out Vicodin anyways.
Yeah true I don’t want anyone thinking I’m a druggie lol I’m just really intolerant to pain >_<
