It had been extremely long and hot this summer. The temperatures were above 38 Celsius degrees and it lasted more than 30 days. The crops suffered a severe drought and the cities in the Lower Yangzi River Delta area faced power shortage as so many households were using air conditioners at the same times.
Now it’s all over as the cool air current from siberia has come. Today the temperature is below 30 degrees. Hopefully there will be some rains tonight for the good of the crops. Still couldn’t believe we had gone through such a long, long summer!
I’m not looking forward to our summer. Last year we had once in a lifetime rain events where they werent’ talking ml’s for a day but metres of rain…Then there’s the bloody heat!
I’m thinking we could really have a hell of a season if anything North of the equator is to go by.
Here is still pretty hot.
My building is constructed that way, that all heat goes up, I’m on eleventh floor.
It’s pretty weather outside, but in my flat is above 30 c degreees.
I tend not to use conditioner, as bill is to high, and I’m sweathing a lot.
Looking forward for mid september, and days that I can wear all my pretty wardrobe…
the summer here has been humid. temps in the mid 80’s to 90’s. we hatched lots of monarch butterflies in my mothers garden. it’s still warm. things will be cooling down here at some point.
I have a pretty gnarly hoodie from Korea that’s kinda scifi lookin’ - it’s got the ribbed sleeves, all the zippers are black, zippers at the cuffs etc. I like it. I DON’T look like the musclehead in the picture though.
