Not sure why, or even thought of getting cigars (I haven’t had a cigar in years)

So I just went to the store and got some tasty non-alcoholic drinks.

Some days that urge just pops up.

Good you can fight those urges. It’s not easy saying goodbye because it’s all that brain chemistry and reward involved but your doing the right things. Well done to you!

Congrats for fighting it successfully!

*Maybe" just remember where drinking took you, remember all the not-so-nice people drinking made you hang around, and all the hangovers. Think of all the regrets you had in the morning after a night of hard drinking. And all the damage drinking did to you. That should be motivation to stay sober.

Yeah, urges are hard to beat at times. But good on you for getting the non-alcoholic options. Do they taste like alcohol? I"ve never tried them.

I wouldn’t mind a non alcoholic corona if it came out. I think there is a big market for this kind of stuff.

I haven’t had any alcohol in a long time.

l like saving money. For example, I’m now at the lowest stage anyone can be for car insurance. Also, when I go out to eat , the bill is a lot less than it might be if I were drinking.

I’m with a gal who doesn’t drink very much. Previously she was married 16 years to an abusive drunk. She’s happy I don’t drink. When she tells me stories of her former husband, I often can relate to him. I don’t think we are much different. It is just that I got recovery.

“Don’t Drink and ask for help,” is one motto I use.

Yes I like the saving money part too.
My girlfriend is happy I don’t drink too and she doesn’t drink either
