Feeling somewhere between numbness and disappointment
why did you binge and purge?
I believe that’s the typical feeling people get after binging and purging. Please talk to someone if you’re having these urges. It is a very addictive behavior, and can be deadly. One of my closest friends in college had a heart attack at 20 because of her bulimia. It was horrifying.
Ultimately it is healthier. Sometimes you have to reprogram your body and mind to want to good things in life. It’s hard but better in the end.
Dude dont worry you can get control of your eating
Its OK to feel a little off. Trying to teach you that this behavior is not good for you. Sorry man I hope it motivates you a little.
Oh no @anon94176359, please don’t binge and purge.
It’s very unhealthy and can even prove deadly.
Please seek out help for it.
Thanks for the messages of support. I phoned my nurse and she is meeting me tomorrow to try and put a plan in place to help me cope with these problems. In the meantime I have thrown out the foods I was binging on
The purging is the dangerous part. Stomach acids are bad for your teeth and throat. Either go without or just accept you might be a little heavier. I got a bit of a gut but I enjoy my soda and cheese so I’m cool with it. I have no idea what it’s like to have an eating disorder, I’m sure it’s something best discussed with a therapist.
I limit snacking and dessert so I don’t feel guilty for eating a nice burger for lunch. I always get the Junior portion if there’s one available (like son of the baconator at Wendy’s). I think portion is a big deal, you can enjoy the taste of something fantastic by eating it slowly and mindfully in a small portion. When you get into bigger portions you can end up shoveling a big part of it in and not really enjoying it.
