Favorite city in the world?

Cusco Peru. Good food, music and its in the most beautiful mountains ever. Plus there’s good trout fishing. Aside from the occasional riots and such Peru tops my favorite places list.

It used to be San Francisco before all the car breakins and public defecation.

Sydney is busy but it’s a blast. The harbour is amazing and it’s a good spot in the world. I have a soft spot for New Orleans although I left before Katrina.

New Orleans is definitely a special place
I hope to visit again!

Haven’t traveled much, I really like NYC, and there are some nice parts in Philly.

I’ve never been to NYC, but I’m hoping to make a trip out there near the end of this coming winter.

If I go, it will be via Amtrak. It would be cheap and a new experience for me, never traveled by train before. The fare I saw on Amtrak’s website was only around $140 for a coach ticket, direct line to/from NYC, 15 hours each way.

A hotel room in Hoboken would be relatively affordable.

Im getting excited thinking about it.:grin::grin:

I see a lot of San Francisco praise and have to express my opinion.

San Francisco is absolutely beautiful and has a major impact on our culture.

It would probably also be one of my favorite cities too,

However,

It sucks right now.

It’s a congested, disgusting, tourist nightmare.

I don’t know if I’ll ever go back and I literally live like so close.

I actually switched the airport I use to a further away airport just so I wouldn’t have to deal with San Francisco.

Anyway,

To answer the question,

I don’t think cities are very beautiful for the most part.

They actually all kind of look the same.

All have their own unique features and attractions,

But very, very similar.

The most beautiful landscape I’ve ever seen was on a very long train ride to Barcelona.

I saw a shepherd with his sheep coming down a grassy hill.

It was striking.

Looked like a painting.

Almost equal, was here in California, actually a couple little towns over.

We were looking at a seemingly random house while trying to find the right place.

This house was not cute and had all carpet,

So I knew it was going to be a hard pass,

Until I went in the kitchen.

It had a single window pane almost the size of the wall.

Outside just seemed to be the very work of god.

Mountains, livestock, interesting plants.

I about died.

Begged my husband to get that house,

Even knowing I didn’t really like the actual home.

We got a different place, but I still think about it from time to time and am actually looking to buy a house in that same area.

I don’t have an all-time favorite. I don’t see much at a cruise ship port.

I’ve been to New York city once. It was summer of 1997. I got my first tattoo there. I’m going again right after Thanksgiving. This time, Christmas stuff will be out. I’m SO excited! I loved it when I went there. I talked about it for a year after. So, right now my favorite is New York City.

My best friends in high school lived in SanFranciso, and I stayed at their house alot. I liked traveling all over the city on the Muni Metro, Bart, and I liked riding on the front of the cable cars.

I don’t like cities for the most part
All I know is that I miss my childhood hometown.

I much prefer towns or suburbs to cities.
