I would probably abuse it if I had it. I can’t have nice things.

As long as it really is doctor supervised there’s no threat of that. The medical community can get careless over time though.

It’s a nasal spray that has a different method of action than other antidepressants (Prozac, Paxil, etc.). It can have an effect in a few hours instead of a few weeks.

It should be noted that the article says that this med may cause psychosis in people who are prone to psychosis.

Based on NYT article, it has to be administered at a clinic and the patient stays to be observed for 2 hours. The logistics of how that will work out may be interesting.

It seems that Relprevv proved that 3 hours is enough to make most psychiatrists not bother, so maybe two will be more acceptable?

Addendum: granted folks needing Relprevv generally don’t have buckets of cash to pay for more services, so maybe the ketamine folks will be getting massages and facials from the in-clinic spa while they wait…

My boyfriend showed me an article similar to this today. It was about the IV drug and it’s effects. I’m personally not interested as I was never on an antidepressant besides trazodone
