I have never met a famous person
Lol no I just like to feel included
I think it’s ok to have never met a famous person. My mother has known so many famous people since childhood, she just doesn’t seem to react much. Maybe I learned it from her; however, when one of her (famous actress) clients made a video recording for my sister, by name, saying my sister had “amazing genes,” I admit I kept it on my phone.
That was a few years ago. I just got permission to show the video to people, from my mother. The actress never told her she couldn’t show it. Yay! Maybe the next time I’m infatuated with a lady, I’ll be like, “Look! One of the main actresses in the ‘Divergent’ series of movies thinks my genes are at least half amazing!” Maybe she’ll come back with: “I do think you are amazingly divergent.”
Ok I guess I can say it after all these years. She’s nowhere near here, the last I heard. Nadia Hilker said my sister had ‘amazing genes!’
I met Ray Liotta at a fancy hotel.
Not a sex thing.
He bummed a cigarette off my husband and actually chatted though a couple cigarettes worth of conversation.
Nice enough guy for sure.
I’ve seen several celebrities, but he’s the only one I like actually “met”.
Aside from my friend who is an actor.
But I’ve told a lot of stories about her here so probs shouldn’t give her up.
She’s not a crazy hot A list celebrity right now,
However,
I think most people would know of her.
My sister has met everyone and has a story about them.
But she works in film and has for 15 years.
She’s actually friends with several celebrities too.
Like they come to her house every week to watch The Bachelor.
I’ll admit it’s odd seeing candid actual pictures of celebrities you only see under flood lights with perfect hair, makeup and clothes.
Most are barely recognizable.
But one in particular is as advertised.
I’m jelly.
When I was in high school me and my dad went to see the Harlem Globetrotters play. At halftime we went out in the lobby to stretch our legs and one of the Harlem Globetrotters was there and he bummed a cigarette off of my dad and talked to us for a couple minutes. My dad made a joke about an athlete smoking which made the guy laugh. Shows you how long ago it was when smoking was allowed indoors still.
Willard Scott, spoke to him while he was on vacation in my home town.
I’ve never met anyone
But I’m sure I will in the next couple of years
Singers
I saw a TV presenter on the tube once.
And I saw another TV presenter at a pantomime when I was a kid.
I have worked for people who’re insanely rich but it never really bothered me
Think they kinda like that I treated them how I like to be treated and did not extort money like many builders do they sniff the money
I’ve never really met anyone superfamous.
I’ve been on a plane with the president of the IOC and met the CEO of the Fortune500 company I was working at.
My dad sat next to Spielberg at a restaurant recently… It creeps me out because Spielberg factored into my delusions quite heavily for a period of time.
I never met a famous person even when I went to hollywood. they may be a myth
Nobody, really.
I guess I saw from a distance “can’t believe it’s not butter guy” when I was young. My dad (or we) saw the guy from “Sons of Anarchy” Mark Junior or something. I didn’t see or notice really but I think it was him/that guy. He played the hotel clerk in “Memento”.
I almost saw the governer (Arnold) once when I was in CC/JC on a trip years ago. I saw Ron Paul at an event years ago. I guess Ron Paul was good. I liked him a lot back then.
My mom had a friend that was a Las Vegas magician. I think he committed suicide. He was a pro. He ‘took’ my watch from my wrist without me knowing about it till later lol.
Also, that time I’ve spoken about here when a bunch of “Marvel” movie folks technically came and saw me (they were filming ‘Echo’ in the vicinity. I happened to be there) and a couple of them made fun of me being a “Clint” and following the Avengers movies, I’m pretty sure I met Zahn McClarnon
As you say, he looked a little different outside of the Hawkeye series. It was hard for me to recognize a lot of them that I met, even when ‘Echo’ came out, but he looked very similar.
I’ve met quite a few very famous politicians as my family is pretty active in politics, or at least used to be before the match of the nursing home patients for POTUS. However, Mitt Romney came to my church building in my small town, and my dad used to have conversations with him about politics and campaigning.
I’ve briefly met Chuck Grassley, Kim Reynolds, and some others from my home state. But I actually got to talk to Ron DeSantis from Florida when he, Thomas Massie and Chip Roy were caucusing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I went to see more Thomas Massie than anyone else, but it was cool to talk to Ron DeSantis a bit. I said he was the only reason I would join the GOP to caucus for him, which I did to a futile attempt. Then we talked about how I was libertarian and Thomas Massie got libertarians for him. The picture below is my dad and I talking to Ron DeSantis
Now, please don’t come at me with contention, as I do not wish to argue, but I thought it was kind of cool to talk to someone so famous or infamous depending on who you ask.
One day when I was 12 the author of the book Roots, Alex Haley came over to our house. He wanted my dad to help him translate the book into Arabic.
My mom was friends with James Dickey who wrote the book DELIVERANCE which was also a movie. He taught English at the university of South Carolina. He was impressed by my guitar playing and my good looks. This happened in the late eighties.
In 1987, I joined a group called the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP). This was in NYC. I worked with some of the people I’ll mention, some I just chatted with once or twice:
Larry Kramer, Peter Staley, Mark Harrington, Harvey Fierstein, Vito Russo, Dr. Fauci, Dr. Krim, Keith Haring, Pepper LaBeija, Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, and many others that I can’t remember.
I’m famous …1234
