That’s pretty interesting-- if society becomes more secular, I wonder if religious delusions will disappear all together 
Also wondering if this pattern would hold true in terms of government-type delusions, etc.
My psychosis was all around religion.
My priest was really good in identifying my illness away from religion. When I talked with him about my concerns, his words were: “Why are you here talking to me? You need to go and see a psychiatrist.” I was a Catholic in good standing and had nothing contrary to the faith, so he always helped me to seek help when needed.
In another words, he was telling me that religion and psychosis are two different things.
Guys, let’s please keep this discussion on the topic of delusions and not on whether religion itself is helpful.
I had a strong religious hallucination. And delusions too.
