That’s interesting. I’ve always had SZ, but my family has also always had cats.

Pet cats aren’t always the vector people think they are. Feral cats and young kittens can be. It’s because they eat infected mice or other meat.

Even so, they stop shedding the oocytes at a certain point after infection, they are not permanently spreading infection.

Worldwide, most cases of toxoplasmosis are a result of eating rare pork, beef and lamb. This far exceeds the infections spread by cats by many many times.
