they are all retired, but every day i see them out doing yard or home maintenance. all because they wanted to own a home. personally i hate all the maintenance on my place, mowing the yard, weed eating, spraying bird poop off the porch, brushing away spider webs on the porch, cleaning gutters, it’s too much for me.
it’s made me want to buy a condo, if i can afford it, so that i will have less maintenance. but there is a chance i will buy a more affordable home in the midwest somewhere, like illinois, for example. where i will be stuck in this adulting ritual.
do they enjoy it? i hate having extra work. everyday they are out there. they all have nice properties, my place is the cheapest in the neighborhood, but that doesn’t bother me, as it’s a little less work.
I live in a apartment complex and the 46 flats pay into a fund each year so everything is part of the service charge and I don’t have to think about anything but my interior maintenance.
well now i see what the neighbors are up to. they are cutting down the bottom tree limbs in their front yard. i don’t know why, i hope it’s for aesthetics and not to be trying to look into my windows from across the street. sometimes i change clothes in my living room and am briefly naked in here. i figure nobody can see me when i do it.
I am supposed to clean my close every few weeks but i had to stop doing it bc the enclosed space and the smell of bleach was making me very anxious, i wish i could do the stairs but cant,
I do some outside work though when i can, we have a communal garden that needs maintained, usually the older guy does it but he is getting old and infirm now so i try and help out.
@Joker i would have objected as well, so unnecessary i think, happy birthday btw
